SCSC’s 10th Grade Career Expo Featured on Kato Living

South Central Service Cooperative (SCSC) was recently featured on Kato Living, highlighting its annual 10th Grade Career Expo—an engaging, large-scale event connecting students to future career opportunities across the region.

Each year, more than 1,500 10th grade students from South Central Minnesota attend the Career Expo to explore potential career paths and gain exposure to local industries. The event brings together schools, businesses, and community partners to create meaningful, real-world learning experiences for students.

During the segment, viewers learned how the Career Expo immerses students in hands-on career exploration through a variety of interactive experiences. Students connect directly with local professionals during interactive exhibits, where they can ask questions and learn about specific careers. In the “My Story” sessions, professionals share their personal career journeys, offering insight and inspiration. The event also features a high-energy, career-themed game show, where student teams test their knowledge of career facts and trends.

Through initiatives like the Career Expo, SCSC continues to strengthen connections between education and the workforce—helping students better understand their options and prepare for future success.

The Career Expo is taking place today, continuing its tradition of inspiring the next generation of South Central Minnesota’s workforce.
