At South Central Service Cooperative, we are committed to ensuring that districts and students receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Student Support Services encompasses a wide range of resources and programs designed to address the unique needs of students across the districts we serve. We partner with school districts through a collaborative and consultative approach to develop and implement effective, tailored solutions.
Our Special Education support focuses on assisting districts in meeting the needs of students with low-incidence disabilities, providing guidance and specialized services for students with Blind/Visually Impaired needs, offering expert Audiology support, and enhancing Early Childhood Special Education programs. By consulting with district teams, we help build capacity and deliver individualized support that empowers students and educators alike.
To promote emotional and physical well-being, we provide Mental Health Support through our Youth Mental Health Navigator Program, which connects students and families to essential resources and care. Our Nursing Services further contribute to this holistic approach by addressing students' health needs to ensure they are ready to learn.
In addition, we coordinate and support the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). This framework helps schools foster positive school climates by promoting proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors.
Also, if your school experiences a traumatic event or serious loss, SCSC offers immediate assistance through a Regional School Crisis Response Team. During these unforeseen circumstances, we can provide information, support, and assistance to help restore the emotional well-being of your school.
Our Student Support Services team is dedicated to collaborating with families, educators, and the community to empower every student and create an inclusive environment where all can succeed.
