The SCSC COMPASS Multilingual Learners supports districts across Minnesota in ensuring equitable access to high-quality, grade-level instruction. We strive to ensure that all students can fully engage in rigorous learning opportunities by strengthening systems and instructional practices, regardless of background or language experience.
We partner with schools, districts, and service cooperatives to deliver culturally responsive and culturally responsible supports. Our approach centers the strengths and assets that Multilingual Learners bring to their schools and communities, while working to dismantle systemic barriers and ensure access to high-quality Tier 1 instruction.
Support is customized to meet your unique needs, offering a variety of services such as professional learning, coaching, consultation, and implementation of evidence-based practices. We aim to strengthen systems and instructional practices, recognizing that Multilingual Learner success is a shared responsibility among educators, leaders, and partners.
COMPASS support is available at no cost to districts, charter, and tribally-controlled schools seeking to strengthen their support for Multilingual Learners. We believe in fostering inclusive learning environments where every student’s language, culture, and identity are valued and supported.
