The SCSC COMPASS Special Education supports districts across Minnesota in strengthening equitable, high-quality systems and instructional practices for students receiving special education services. We strive to ensure that all students have access to rigorous, grade-level learning opportunities and the supports they need to succeed, regardless of ability or circumstance.

We partner with schools and districts to support the implementation of evidence-based practices and inclusive systems that align with the Minnesota Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MnMTSS) framework. Our approach focuses on improving access to high-quality Tier 1 instruction, strengthening inclusive practices, and supporting positive academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for all students.

Support is customized to meet your unique needs, offering a variety of services such as professional learning, coaching, implementation guidance, and systems-level planning. We aim to strengthen district and school systems by building capacity to support inclusive instruction, data-based decision making, and effective use of resources.

COMPASS support is available at no cost to districts, charter, and Tribal schools seeking to strengthen their special education systems and practices. We believe in fostering inclusive learning environments where every student is supported, valued, and able to achieve their full potential.
