Social Studies Standards Workshop

Thursday, February 26, 2026
to
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
SCSC Conference Center, 2075 Lookout Drive, North Mankato

This two-day workshop series is designed to equip K–12 teachers and school leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully implement the new social studies standards by the 2026–27 school year. Participants will engage in a guided exploration of the revised standards, including analysis of major content shifts, vertical alignment across grade levels, and implications for curriculum planning.

Throughout the workshop, teams will connect the updated standards to the C3 Framework, deepening their understanding of high-quality instructional practices and identifying necessary instructional shifts to support student learning.

Districts are strongly encouraged to attend as collaborative teams. Ideal team members include K–12 social studies teachers, district-level leaders, instructional coaches, and school administrators.

Join us to build clarity, coherence, and confidence as you prepare for effective implementation of the new social studies standards.

Dates: February 26 and April 30, 2026

Cost: $150 per person for the two days, includes lunch both days
