Increasing Impact of PLCs: A Leader Series

Tuesday, February 9, 2027
to
8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
SCSC Conference Center, 2075 Lookout Drive, North Mankato

PLCs have the potential to be one of the most powerful drivers of student achievement, but only when they are supported by intentional systems, shared expectations, and strong leadership. This series is designed for district and building leaders, along with PLC teacher leaders, who are ready to move beyond “having PLCs” to creating a culture where collaborative teams consistently improve teaching and learning. Participants will engage in a guided process to define the purpose and vision of PLCs in their district, examine the essential systems that support effective collaboration, and create a practical plan for strengthening implementation. Throughout the series, teams will explore the interconnected layers of impactful PLC work, including alignment of goals, curriculum and assessments, Tier 1 instructional practices, data literacy, and structures that support meaningful collaboration. Each session will provide dedicated time for teams to analyze current practices, develop or refine their district PLC plan, identify actionable next steps, and build sustainable systems that support collective responsibility for student success. By the end of the series, leaders will leave with a clearer vision, aligned structures, and an implementation roadmap to increase the effectiveness and impact of PLCs within their district.
